Text

A. The district shall be governed by a board of commissioners, referred to in this Chapter as the "board", consisting of seven members appointed by the mayor of the city of Abbeville subject to the approval of the governing authority of the city of Abbeville. B.

(1)Each member of the board shall serve a term of four years after initial terms as provided in Paragraph (2) of this Subsection.
(2)Two members shall serve an initial term of one year, two shall serve two years, two shall serve three years, and one shall serve four years, as determined by lot at the first meeting of the board.
