§9039.121. Abbeville Film and Visitors Commission District; creation; boundaries; purpose The Abbeville Film and Visitors Commission District, hereinafter referred to in this Chapter as the "district", is hereby created as a political subdivision of the state. The boundaries of the district shall include all of the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Abbeville. It shall have as its primary purpose the development of the district as a film, video, and television venue for the purpose of marketing its locations, resources, and personnel to motion picture and television production companies, in order to increase the number of filmed entertainment projects produced in the district, to generate jobs, to increase visitor interest within the district, and to provide additional revenue for the
