Text

A. Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 33:4574(F), the West Baton Rouge Parish Police Jury shall appoint the directors to staggered terms of three years. B. For the purpose of encouraging visitors to and promoting tourism in the parish, the West Baton Rouge Parish Tourist Commission may utilize funds received from the tax levied and collected under the authority of R.S. 33:4574.1 or R.S. 33:4574.1.1 and from any other sources:

(1)To promote the parish's history, culture, art, folklife, recreational and leisure opportunities, natural and scenic resources, transportation, sites, attractions, accommodations, and events.
(2)To cooperate and enter into agreements with governmental agencies, tourist promotion agencies, and private nonprofit associations and organizations for the promotion o
