§ 33:3967 — Opening of bids; awarding of contract; resolution; publication

The governing authority of the said district or sub-district shall meet in open session on the date and at the place and hour named in the notice calling for bids and shall proceed to open said bids and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, who can furnish satisfactory security or it may reject any and all bids, and at any time within a period of thirty days from date of reception and opening of said bids may award a contract for said work without further advertisement provided that no such contract shall be let for an amount greater than that specified in the lowest sealed bid received from a responsible bidder.
