Text

A. The board of the district shall exercise the powers granted to the district pursuant to this Subpart. The board shall consist of five members; except as otherwise provided herein, each member shall hold office for a term of four years and until a successor is chosen and qualifies. The initial members of the board shall be residents of the state and two of such initial members shall have their principal place of business within the district. B.

(1)Commencing six years after the initial appointment of members, the position of each member whose term has expired shall be filled by a qualified elector of the district, elected by the qualified electors of the district in accordance with Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
(2)Members of the board shall be known as commissioner
