§2740.27. The Algiers Development District; creation, composition, and powers; levy of ad valorem taxes and issuance of bonds A.

(1)There shall be, and there hereby is, created a special taxing district comprised of all territory within the fifteenth ward of Orleans Parish, which ward extends to the center of the Mississippi River.
(2)The special taxing district shall be known as, and is hereby designated, the Algiers Development District of the city of New Orleans referred to in this Section as the "district", such creation to be effective January 1, 1993.
