§140.50.5. Definitions For the purposes of this Subpart, words and phrases used are defined as follows:
(1)"Commission" means the Haughton Metropolitan Planning Commission of
Bossier Parish as provided for in R.S. 33:140.50.6.
(2)"Metropolitan planning area" means the town of Haughton and any areas outside
of its boundaries which, in the commission's judgment, bear relation to the planning of the
municipality; however, such metropolitan planning area shall not extend more than five miles
beyond the municipality.
(3)"Municipal" and "municipality" mean the town of Haughton.
(4)"Parish" means Bossier Parish.
(5)"Police jury" means the governing authority of Bossier Parish.
(6)"Street" or "streets" means public thoroughfares, avenues, boulevards, roads,
lanes, alleys, and other ways.
