§140.50.32. Board of adjustment A.

(1)The zoning ordinances shall provide for a board of adjustment composed of five members. Two members shall be appointed by the town council, two members shall be appointed by the policy jury, and one member shall be appointed jointly by the town council and the police jury.
(2)All members of the board shall be residents and qualified voters of the metropolitan area.
(3)Members shall serve four-year terms after initial terms as provided in this Subsection. One member shall serve an initial term of one year, one member shall serve two years, one member shall serve three years, and two members shall serve four years, as determined by lot at the first meeting of the board of adjustment.
(4)Members shall be eligible for reappointment.
