§140.181. Zoning authority; Jefferson Parish The governing authority of the parish of Jefferson may prepare, enact, and enforce comprehensive plans for the parish to divide the parish into districts or zones restricting and regulating therein the location, erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, and use of buildings, structures, and land for trade, industry, residence, and other uses, in accordance with its home rule charter and in accordance with any local or general law granting zoning authority to local governmental subdivisions.
