Text

A. The district shall be governed by a board of commissioners consisting of seven members as follows:

(1)Two members appointed by the governing authority of the town of Lake Providence.
(2)Four members appointed by the governing authority of East Carroll Parish.
(3)The commissioners appointed pursuant to Paragraphs (1) and (2) of this Subsection shall select the remaining commissioner. B. Of the four commissioners initially selected by the parish governing authority, two shall serve two-year terms and two shall serve four-year terms as determined by lot at the first board meeting. The initial terms of the members appointed by the governing authority of Lake Providence shall be three years, and the member selected as provided in Paragraph (3) of Subsection A of this Section shall serve a
