§2455. Office of the Louisiana oil spill coordinator
The office of the Louisiana oil spill coordinator is hereby created within the
Department of Conservation and Energy, and shall exercise the powers and duties set forth
in this Chapter or otherwise provided by law. The office shall be administered by the
coordinator who shall be a director pursuant to R.S. 36:357. The initial coordinator shall not
perform any official duties prior to confirmation.
