§2093. Member of compact for Louisiana; secretary of the Department of
Environmental Quality
A. The secretary of the Department of Environmental Quality shall
serve ex officio as Louisiana's voting member on the Mississippi River
Interstate Pollution Control Commission. The secretary may designate another
official of the Department of Environmental Quality to serve as an alternate
member of the Mississippi River Interstate Pollution Control Commission if,
as, and when the secretary deems necessary.
B. The secretary shall consult with and seek advice from the secretary
of the Louisiana Department of Health and the secretary of the Department of
Wildlife and Fisheries and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry relative
to agreements in the compact to be concurred in or recommended by
Louisiana.
