§ 3:4623 — Exemption from Chapter

§4623. Exemption from Chapter
A. This Chapter does not in any way apply to or affect the provisions pertaining to
the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Commission or the storage, handling, sale, transportation, or
distribution of liquefied petroleum gas and the measures used in connection therewith as
provided in R.S. 40:1841 et seq.
B. This Chapter does not apply to platform scales used solely for safety purposes in
connection with the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas; however, this does not prevent
the department from entering into any cooperative endeavor or cooperative agreement with
the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Commission to certify or register such scales.
C.(1) This Chapter does not apply to the sale of an aggregate of twenty thousand
bushels or less per year of shelled field corn made directly from a producer to a purchaser.
(2) This Chapter does not apply to the sale of an aggregate of more than twenty
thousand bushels per year of shelled field corn if the net weight of the shelled field corn is
verified by a National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) certified scale prior to distribution
of the shelled field corn.
