§289. Limitations on educational benefits
The Department of Veterans Affairs may expend from any funds available for that
purpose whatever sums are necessary for the subsistence, maintenance, or other necessary
expenses of beneficiaries under R.S. 29:288 during the period of their college or university
training. The expenditures shall not exceed one thousand dollars per year for each
beneficiary nor shall they be available to him for any period of more than four years to be
completed in not more than five years.
