Text

A.

(1)Every manufacturer or wholesaler of alcoholic beverages shall furnish to the secretary a bond in the minimum amount of ten thousand dollars for each type of permit held guaranteeing the payment of all taxes and penalties levied by this Chapter. The bond required by this Section for manufacturers or wholesalers of native wines shall be in the amount of five thousand dollars.
(2)This bond shall be executed by a surety company qualified to do business in this state or may be in the form of a certificate of deposit or a letter of credit with a bank located in the state of Louisiana. The certificate of deposit or a letter of credit shall be irrevocably assigned to the secretary and the assignment can only be cancelled by the secretary.
