Text

A.If contributions are not paid on the date on which they are due and payable as prescribed by the administrator, the whole or part remaining unpaid thereafter shall bear interest at the rate of one percent per month from the due date until payment is received by the administrator and shall be further subject to a penalty on both the contributions and interest of five percent for each month or part of a month after the due date not to exceed an aggregate penalty amount of twenty-five percent. In computing interest for any period less than a full month, the rate shall be one-thirtieth of one percent for each day or part thereof. The date as of which payment of contributions, if mailed, is deemed to have been received may be determined by such regulations as the administrator may prescribe.
