Text

Whenever the articles of incorporation of a foreign or alien insurer authorized to transact business in this state shall be amended, such insurer shall, within thirty days after the effective date of such amendment, file with commissioner of insurance two certified copies thereof duly authenticated by the proper official of its domiciliary state or country. The filing of such copy shall not of itself enlarge the authority of the insurer in the transaction of business in this state, nor authorize such insurer to transact business in this state under any other name than the name set forth in its certificate of authority. NOTE: Former R.S. 22:339 redesignated as R.S. 22:199 by Acts 2008, No. 415, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 2009.
