A.An association may require a statement to be furnished it annually by all fire insurance companies, associations, or underwriters writing fire insurance, regularly licensed and authorized to do business in the state, showing the gross amount of premiums received for insuring movable and immovable property against loss by fire in the city in which the association has its domicile, for the twelve months next preceding December thirty-first of each year. Only return premiums paid during the twelve months shall be deducted from the gross premiums. This statement shall be made on forms furnished by the association and shall be sworn to by the president, secretary, general agent, or manager of the fire insurance company, association, or underwriter.
