Text

No person shall act as an insurer in this state unless properly qualified as an insurer of a type permitted under the provisions of this Code. No person shall be authorized to transact or shall transact a business of insurance in this state without complying with the provisions of this Code. NOTE: Former R.S. 22:12 redesignated as R.S. 22:1825 by Acts 2008, No. 415, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 2009.
