§3. Bathrooms and toilet facilities; duty as to
A.Every keeper, manager, or person in charge of the conduct of any
hotel, motel, or inn shall keep the closets, bathrooms, and toilet facilities
provided for the use of its guests and patrons cleaned and maintained in a
sanitary condition.
B.Whoever fails or refuses to comply with the provisions and
requirements of this Section shall be fined not less than one hundred and fifty
dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or be imprisoned for not more than
ten days, or both.
C.The provisions of this Section shall be enforced by the state health
officer and the office of health services and environmental quality of the
Louisiana Department of Health as provided for in R.S. 40:5, at the request of
the parish health officer in the parish where
