§407.72. Orientation

A.Each family child care provider and in-home provider who receives payments from the department shall be required to participate in a four-hour orientation. The orientation curriculum shall include but not be limited to the following subjects: recordkeeping; immunization schedules and requirements; recognizing signs of child abuse; child abuse prevention; communicating with parents; age appropriate activities for young children; child development; child safety; and nutritional needs of children. The orientation shall count toward the required hours of professional development training mandated by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
