§1964. Board of directors; creation; membership; terms; powers, duties, and functions; voting; compensation A. There is hereby created a board of directors for the school, sometimes hereinafter referred to as the "board". The board shall be composed of twenty-four members as follows:

(1)The president of the state board or his designee.
(2)The state superintendent or his designee.
(3)The commissioner of higher education or his designee.
(4)The assistant superintendent of special education for the department or his designee.
(5)The assistant superintendent for academic programs for the department or his designee.
(6)The dean of education of Northwestern State University of Louisiana at Natchitoches.
(7)Two members of the House Committee on Education who shall be appointed by the chair
