§1831. Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System; creation; membership; terms of office; vacancies A. The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, referred to hereinafter in this part as the board, is created as a body corporate. B. The board shall be composed of fifteen members. Two members from each congressional district shall be appointed by the governor and one or more members shall be appointed by the governor from the state at large. All such appointments shall be made with the consent of the Senate. C. The terms of the members shall be six years, except that the terms of the initial members shall be as provided in Subsection E of R.S. 17:1832. Members shall serve until their successors are appointed and take office. D.
