A.When the Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, or any of its member institutions, provide to the Board of Regents confidential student data or records concerning students enrolled in Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities member institutions, pursuant to a law, rule, or regulation, neither the Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, nor any member institution thereof, shall be held liable in any court of law for any breach of confidentiality of such information, provided the breach resulted from actions of the Board of Regents or its staff and not from the transmission of the data or records by the Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities or any of its member institutions prior to the receipt
