§623. Submission of sexual assault collection kits
A.Within thirty days of receiving a sexual assault collection kit for a reported case,
the criminal justice agency shall submit the sexual assault collection kit to a forensic
laboratory for testing.
B.If a prosecuting agency makes an official request for analysis of a sexual assault
collection kit, the criminal justice agency shall submit the sexual assault collection kit to a
forensic laboratory within thirty days of receiving the request from the prosecuting agency.
