A. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a court may order that an offender sentenced to not more than five years without hard labor be placed in a community rehabilitation center under terms and conditions established by the court, provided such placement receives the consent of the offender and the administrators in charge of the center. Upon the written request of the administrators of a community rehabilitation center, the court shall order that an offender placed pursuant to this Subsection be removed, and shall issue such other orders regarding the custody of the offender as are appropriate under the original sentence. B.
