§1109.6. Use of facilities The facility shall be used for the temporary detention of children under the age of eighteen years and for individuals eighteen years of age and older who were under eighteen years of age when they committed an alleged offense from the parishes within the district while awaiting trial or other disposition of their cases, runaways from parishes within the district, those awaiting transfer to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections or the office of juvenile justice, and any other purpose or use provided in R.S. 15:1109.2 or any other constitutional or statutory law.
