Text

The criminal sheriff of the parish of Orleans is hereby authorized to employ a physician to care for the inmates of the parish prison of the parish of Orleans. The compensation of said physician is hereby fixed at the sum of five thousand dollars per annum, and shall be paid out of the general fund of the state on the warrant of the criminal sheriff of the parish of Orleans.
