§1271. Judges to appoint court reporters Each judge of the civil district court may appoint a qualified stenographer to serve as court reporter in his division. All court reporters so appointed shall serve at the pleasure of the judges appointing them and may be assigned to the various divisions of the court as the judges appointing them may direct. The judges of the civil district court, sitting en banc, may appoint additional qualified stenographers as they may deem necessary who shall serve at the pleasure of the court en banc and may be assigned to the various divisions of the court as the court en banc may direct.
