§ 11:3683 — Membership

Louisiana·Title 11 Consolidated Public Retirement Systems

§3683. Membership The membership of the plan shall be composed as follows:

(1)All persons who shall become employees as defined in R.S. 11:3682(16) after August 1, 1971, and on or before June 30, 2014, except those specifically excluded under Paragraph (3) of this Section, shall become members as a condition of their employment, provided they are under fifty years of age at the date of employment.
(2)All persons who are employees as the term is defined in R.S. 11:3682(16) on August 1, 1971, shall become members as of that date unless within a period of thirty days next following, any such employee shall file with the Board of Trustees on a form prescribed by such board a notice of his election not to be covered in the membership of the system and a duly executed waiver of all present and
