A.Any member employed after December 31, 1967, or any member employed before January 1, 1968, who elects to come under provisions of this Act* which applies to members of the police department employed after December 31, 1967 may elect to receive his benefit in a retirement allowance payable throughout life, or he may elect to receive the actuarial equivalent at that time of his retirement allowance in a reduced retirement allowance payable throughout life or he may elect to receive the actuarial equivalent at that time, of his retirement allowance in a reduced retirement allowance payable throughout life with the provision that: Option 1.
