§1869. Employee contributions; city of Mandeville
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the city of Mandeville, at its
discretion, may pay to the system, from its own funds, all or a portion of the employee
contributions referenced in this Chapter and take appropriate legal and administrative action
to otherwise be in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. The payments authorized
pursuant to this Section shall become effective thirty days after a favorable vote of the
governing authority authorizing the use of additional public funds that would otherwise be
deducted from employees' salaries.
