A.The board of trustees shall have authority to appoint a secretary, and shall fix, at its discretion, the salary to be paid as compensation for such services, and to employ actuarial, clerical, and other help as necessary; to contract for group insurance covering the secretary, regular employees, and their dependents, as provided by the assessors' insurance act. The salaries and insurance premiums shall be paid out of the Assessors' Retirement Fund. The secretary of the board of trustees shall keep in book provided for the purpose, a full and complete record of all proceedings of the board of trustees, particularly with reference to investment of funds belonging to the said retirement fund, as hereinafter provided for.
