Text
Prior to the submission of the state water plan or any section thereof or any amendment thereto to the Kansas water authority, the legislature and the governor, the office shall hold public hearings at such place or places as may be convenient to the area affected, to consider the state water plan or one or more sections thereof or amendments thereto, and to hear protests or petitions of all interested persons. Notice of such hearing shall be published at least twice prior to such hearing in the Kansas register. The office shall send, by United States mail, a reasonable notice of hearing to (1) such agencies of the state as have an interest in the management, conservation and development of the water resources of the state, (2) the county clerk of each county affected by the proposed plan,
