§ 8-145f — Commercial vehicle registration service fee; commercial vehicle administrative system fund; purpose

Kansas·Ch. 8 AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES·Art. 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS

Each commercial vehicle registering under the provisions of K.S.A. 8-143, 8-1,100, or 8-1,152, and amendments thereto, shall be assessed a fee of four dollars. Such fee shall be collected by the county treasurer and shall be remitted in the following manner:

(a)Two dollars of such fee assessed and collected pursuant to this section shall be remitted to the state treasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendments thereto, who shall then credit the entire amount thereof to the commercial vehicle administrative system fund, which fund is hereby established in the state treasury. (b) Two dollars shall be deposited by the county treasurer in the special fund created pursuant to K.S.A. 8-145, and amendments thereto, and such amounts shall be used by the county treasurer for all purposes for which such fund has been appropriated by law.
