§ 8-143c — Temporary registration for foreign truck or truck tractor for interstate commerce operation; fee; rules and regulations; exception

Kansas·Ch. 8 AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES·Art. 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS
The owner of any truck or truck tractor, which is registered and licensed in some other state, not entitled to reciprocal privileges while being operated in interstate commerce on the highways of this state, and which truck or truck tractor has a gross weight, as defined in subsection (b) of K.S.A. 8-143, and amendments thereto, in excess of 12,000 pounds, in lieu of payment of the annual license fee for such vehicle pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 8-143, and amendments thereto, or K.S.A. 8-1,101 to 8-1,123, inclusive, and amendments thereto, may register such vehicle and obtain temporary registration from the division of vehicles authorizing operation of such vehicle on the highways of this state in interstate commerce for a period of not to exceed 72 hours.
