(a)Any person registering in this state in excess of 250 motor vehicles that are subject to the taxation imposed pursuant to K.S.A. 79-5117, and amendments thereto, shall register such vehicles with the division of vehicles. Such registration shall be submitted electronically with the division.
(b)The division of vehicles shall register and issue a license plate for any motor vehicle satisfying the provisions of subsection (a) upon payment of all applicable registration fees provided in K.S.A. 8-143, and amendments thereto. License plates issued under this subsection shall be permanent in nature and designed in such a manner as to remain with the motor vehicle so long as the motor vehicle is subject to the taxation imposed pursuant to K.S.A. 79-5117, and amendments thereto.
