Text

Whenever the county treasurer is required to impose a penalty for the failure to comply with the registration requirements in article 1 of chapter 8 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, the treasurer shall waive such penalty and interest if:

(a)The last day to register or renew the registration on a vehicle falls on a day on which the treasurer's office is closed; and (b) the owner registers or renews the registration on the vehicle on the next day the treasurer's office is open.
