§ 76-823 — Exemption from taxation

Kansas·Ch. 76 STATE INSTITUTIONS AND AGENCIES; HISTORICAL PROPERTY·Art. 8 UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS MEDICAL EDUCATION AND CLINICAL FACILITIES AND PERSONNEL
The exercise of the powers granted under this act will be in all respects for the benefit of the people of the state, for the increase of their commerce and prosperity and for the improvement of their health and living conditions, and as the operation and maintenance of the medical center with the project by the board will constitute the performance of an essential governmental function, the board shall not be required to pay any taxes or assessments upon any of its property constituting a part of the medical center or the project levied by the state or by any municipality, county, political subdivision or other public agency of the state, and any bonds issued under this act, their transfer and the income therefrom (including any profit made on the sale thereof) shall at all times be free
