§ 75-7405 — Statewide health policy agenda; reports to legislature; timeline for assumption of powers, duties and functions; plans and recommendations; submission to legislature

(a)The department of health and environment is responsible for the development of a statewide health policy agenda including health care and health promotion components. The department of health and environment shall report to the legislature at the beginning of the regular session of the legislature in 2007 and at the beginning of each regular legislative session thereafter. The report of the department of health and environment to the legislature shall include recommendations for implementation of the health policy agenda recommended by the department. The department of health and environment shall develop or adopt health indicators and shall include baseline and trend data on the health costs and indicators in each annual report to the legislature.
