Text
The commissioner of juvenile justice may appoint deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners as determined necessary by the commissioner to carry out the mission of the authority. All deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners shall serve at the pleasure of the commissioner, shall be in the unclassified service under the Kansas civil service act and shall receive an annual salary fixed by the commissioner and approved by the governor. The commissioner may appoint a public information officer, a chief attorney, other attorneys and a personal secretary for the juvenile justice authority.
