Text

The secretary for children and families may create advisory committees and appoint the members thereof when the secretary determines that such advisory committees are needed for the efficient administration of the program and, when such advisory committees are approved by the governor. Such advisory committees shall consult with and advise the secretary with reference to the management, control and operation of institutions or programs under the jurisdiction of the department. Members of any advisory committee created under authority of this section attending meetings of such committee or attending a subcommittee meeting thereof authorized by such committee shall be paid subsistence allowances, mileage and other expenses as provided in K.S.A. 75-3223, and amendments thereto, but shall rece
