Text

The secretary of corrections shall have general management and control of such institution and of the officers and employees thereof and the inmates therein and of all matters relating to the discipline, control and fiscal concerns thereof, the same as other correctional institutions under the secretary's control and jurisdiction. The secretary may adopt such rules and regulations as may be determined necessary for carrying out the purposes of this act. The secretary shall appoint a warden with such duties as may be prescribed, and the warden so appointed, may select, with the approval of the secretary, officers and employees necessary for the management and operation of the institution.
