(a)As the infrastructure provider for information technology for the state of Kansas, the office of information technology services must insure the highest level of information security and privacy in order to protect law enforcement, state agencies and the citizens of Kansas. The department of administration or the office of information technology services shall require sensitive employees to be fingerprinted in accordance with K.S.A. 2024 Supp. 22-4714, and amendments thereto, for the purposes of verifying the identity of such individuals and obtaining records of criminal arrests and convictions.
(b)As used in this section, "sensitive employee" means a person who has applied for a position of employment or is currently employed by the department of administration or the office of infor
