In the event of the disability of the governor, the lieutenant governor shall assume the powers and duties of the governor until the disability is removed. Whenever the governor is disabled and the lieutenant governor is unable to assume the powers and duties of the governor for the reason that the office of lieutenant governor is vacant or for the reason that the lieutenant governor is disabled, the president of the senate shall assume the powers and duties of the governor until the disability of the governor is removed.
