(a)The board of directors of the Kansas guardianship program shall employ a person to serve as executive director who shall direct and supervise the general management of the corporation. The executive director shall employ persons needed to perform duties of the Kansas guardianship program as directed by the board of directors.
(b)Employees of the Kansas guardianship program shall not be considered to be state employees except that such employees may participate in the Kansas public employees retirement system. Employees of the Kansas guardianship program shall not be considered to be state employees, except for the purposes specified in this subsection (b).
