§ 74-49a127 — Participating service credit for certain employees
Kansas·Ch. 74 STATE BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND AUTHORITIES·Art. 49a PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEMS; PRIOR SERVICE CREDIT AND SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS
Notwithstanding the provisions of K.S.A. 74-4911, 74-4913, and 74-4919a to the contrary, an employee who became a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system on February 1, 1978, who was first employed by such participating employer on November 1, 1971, and who is employed by a participating employer on the effective date of this act, shall, upon the payment of appropriate employer and employee contributions, be entitled to receive participating service credit for employment with his or her participating employer for the period November 1, 1971, until January 31, 1978.
