§ 74-4911c — Membership election for persons barred prior to July 1, 1982, for coverage by other systems; limitation
(a)Each person who is an employee of a participating employer on June 30, 1982, who was barred from membership in the Kansas public employees retirement system under the law in effect on June 30, 1982, by reason of coverage by, eligibility for or future eligibility for another retirement plan authorized under any other law of this state, and who is made eligible by this act to be a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system, may make an election in accordance with this section to become a member of that system. No such person shall become a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system in accordance with this section and K.S.A. 74-4911 or 74-4935 and amendments thereto, whichever is applicable, unless such person files a written statement of election to become a mem
