Kansas·Ch. 74 STATE BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND AUTHORITIES·Art. 49 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM
(1)An eligible employer may join the system on January 1 of any year. Application for affiliation shall be in the form of a resolution approved by the governing or legislative body of the eligible employer or by any other body or officer authorized by law or recognized by the board to approve the action. Such application may be for participation with regard to:
(a)All employees who are employed by the participating employer on or after the employer's entry date;
(b)all employees employed by the participating employer immediately prior to and on the employer's entry date; or (c) all individuals which are referred to in subsections (1)(a) and (1)(b). The application shall include a statement of the group or groups to be covered. Any such application, upon approval by the board of trustees
