Text
(a)There is established the state board of regents. The state board of regents shall be composed of nine members appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the senate as provided in K.S.A. 75-4315b, and amendments thereto. Except as provided by K.S.A. 46-2601, and amendments thereto, no person appointed to the state board of regents shall exercise any power, duty or function as a member of the state board until confirmed by the senate. Each member shall hold office for a term of four years, except as provided in subsection (b) for the first members appointed to the state board, and until a successor is appointed and confirmed. Terms of members shall expire on June 30. No person shall serve more than two terms of office as a member of the state board, except that this limitation
